It is very likely that Ayn Rand fans will get to see a movie version of Atlas shrugged, her masterpiece. Several big shots in the movie industry wanted to act and work on the movie. But, the final version put togethor by the inexperienced, might not be up to the standard. However, Ayn Rand followers are devouring anything related to her with a fanatical zeal, writes Shanu A. |

Ayn Rand and the American Right by Jennifer Burns

Jennifer Burn's biography of Ayn Rand is suppposed to be objective as she has no axe to grind. However, it would be disappointing to those who have thought so. Burns has no personal interest in Ayn Rand's philosophy. Burns is a determinist, doesn't base politics on philosophy and thinks that ideas doesn't matter, writes Robert Mayhew in Capitalism Magazine. |

Ayn Rand, according Anne C Hellers biography, used to begin conversations with the question “what are your premises?” Ayn Rand represents the world of 20th Century big business to many. The world is imperfect and Rand went through much pain when she got bad reviews and her works were misunderstood, writes Nistula Hebbar in The Financial Express. |

Randed for life

My favorite Ayn Rand stories are how she named herself, and how she presented her philosophy standing on one foot. Ayn Rand believers find it hard to realize that some people outgrew it, and Ayn rand sceptics find it hard to accept how so many are swayed.once you’ve been Ayn Randed, the scar is permanent, writes Nilanjana S Roy in Business Standard. |

The ideas of Ayn Rand, the Russian-born American philosopher-novelist are enjoyinga revival as of the present happenings which resembles her warning of creeping socialism. Recently, a DVD of an adaptation of her We The Living was released. The movie was wonderfully made, and the casting of Kira and Leo were perfect, though the one of Andrei was problematic. The DVD has a pro-freedom message, writes Cathy Young in Forbes. |
